If you're anything like me, you got bit by the Lularoe bug a year or two ago and fell instantly in love with the famously "buttery soft" leggings. If you're a lot like me, you bought way too many pairs, did the math later, and hoped no one committed you to an intervention program. I'm talking over 20 pairs of leggings (Jesus help me). But let's be real, they are crazy comfortable! And as busy moms, comfort is a much appreciated blessing when it comes to fashion.

I love jeans. I mean I LOVE jeans. I don't know if it has more to do with the fact that I hate shorts, or because I can wear them with high wedge shoes and look like I'm 5'6" instead of 5'3". But I digress. Let's take it back to the beginning. When Lularoe came on the scene, I totally scoffed at women who wore them. I thought, "you look ridiculous, you know that right?" I mean who wears pineapples or wolves on their legs? In bright colors. I would never.
Then I got pregnant with my second son and planned a last minute trip to Disneyland. Travel and an 8 month preggo belly desperately call for stretchy comfort, so I bought my first 2 pairs of leggings. (I'll admit I tried buying fake lularoe on Amazon prior to this. It's not the same.) Once I put them on, I immediately thought, "oh my gosh....so this is why". I was a fan. And I thought I was brilliant because not only did those leggings fit me in my 8-month swollen phase, but I'd be able to wear them on my post-baby bod and beyond. #winning
I think my first year after birthing La'akea I was drinking the Lula-juice pretty hard. I had a growing collection of leggings, Carly's, Irmas, Classics, Perfect Tees, and one black Joy. If you know, you know. I had fun posting Insta-stories of my #LOTD (Lularoe of the day, of course). Until.... I started to fall out of lust with my new love and slowly phased out of my obsession.
After a while I began to feel a bit embarrassed that I was just another mom in the legging-club and it was maybe an excuse to be frumpy and hide my mom-bod. Leggings don't give you love handles. But oversized-tees also don't show if you've got a waist. So I saved my lula for plane-rides or holidays, cause duh Christmas leggings.
Let's fast forward to today. My long time friend and homie for life, Koren U. is re-launching her Lularoe business and I love supporting my friends, so I went over to her place for a little shopping therapy. I didn't NEED anything, and yet I ended up walking out with SIX brand new pieces, and some styles I've never bought before!! So fun!
Here is the kicker moms, I realized I don't have to be frumpy or even casual-only when it comes to my Lularoe Fashion. I finally figured out that there are ways to make your lula pieces work so not only are they flattering, but they can be worn to just about any occasion. So here are some of my tips on wearing your Lularoe like the Queen you are:
Shopping at Koren's today, re-inspired me to dust off my Lularoe Collection and bring it back to life with these fashion tips. I hope you're getting creative with your buttery soft-ness. If you want to add on to your wardrobe or need some fashion tips or advice, My girl Koren would be glad to help. Reach out to herehere.
Have fun, comfort, style, your cake leggings, and eat some too!! (Because you're wearing leggings and you can ha!) Oh and by the way, those wolf leggings I teased my mom about, I asked later if I could have them from her hahahahaa!!
