![]() I was today years old when I learned how easy it is to get my white shirts back to their celestial pure glorious hue with just 3 inexpensive ingredients. Maybe I'm late to the laundry hack game, but I'm on it now and I'm so excited!!! Guy, I'm an "all things basic" tops kinda girl. I mean give me all the black, white, and grey solids please! But I'm not sure if its usual wear and tear, or more due to the fact that I'm a natural deodorant user living in a hot humid paradise - buuuutttt.... My white tops tend to get a liiiiitle discolored in the armpit area *blush*. And even my grey tops. Actually any light colored cotton tee is subject to the ghastly darkening under there. If you haven't tried this for stain removal yet, read on sister! So I'll admit that I found the idea on pinterest. I was at my wits end with embarrassment wanting to wear tops but realizing they bore the marks of sweathood permanently. So I looked for a remedy, and this time actually tried it! Luckily I already had one ingredient on hand, as you may have - or all 3. If not, you can find all 3 at your local Walmart, Walgreens, Target, etc. Wanna know the magic? The first time I tried it, I went for a 1:1:1 ratio. But because the dish soap had such a bright tint, I added more baking soda to lighten. I think you can eyeball the measurements but the one to one worked well. You could opt for a color-free Dawn if you can find it. I can't say if another brand would work the same. What happens is, once you mix the 3 together, it foams up and creates all the magic you need to release those pit stains from their underarm prison! See for yourself!! This is one of my favorite white tanks. She was looking sad and dirty. But after an hour or so with the magic foam concoction and a run through the wash, she's good as new! This revelation has been a LIFESAVER! I can bring so many of my old tops back to life now that I have these three ingredients on hand. Of course you have to create new batch each time you use it. This isn't something you can mix a big bottle of and use for a month. So today I'm trying out a grey shirt and some non-pit stains on another white tee to see if the magic potion does it all. I'm completely laughing at myself because this is probably a really old tired and true trick that many of you know already. I just took too long to actually try it myself! If you try it for the first time, let me know how it goes!! Or if you have your own laundry or stain removal hacks, please hook a sister up!!! This website uses marketing and tracking technologies.
