What if you Fly?

I can confidently say that I'm probably one of the least qualified people to do this, let alone succeed.  Why? You ask.  First of all, I'm an introvert and completely awkward around people (add to that the fact that I have a terrible memory and can't recall many people/events from years back.  Seriously, I suck).  Second, I have a pretty small circle - my family isn't large, and the number of people I can call friends, I could count on (a little more than) one hand.  Third, I have a background in Early Childhood Education, not sales or marketing.  Why am I sharing this with you? Well...because I've found something that has surprised me, something that has filled my life with purpose, joy, confidence, vision, and that thing I've found is available to you too.  

So what is that had added ALL of that to my life PLUS MORE?  You may have guessed it.  It's the opportunity Beautycounter has provided for me to be an Entrepreneur and Clean Beauty Advocate.  While this isn't for everyone, it is a very do-able "gig" and I've seen women from all walks of life do this, and do it well.  I want to shatter some fears in this post because some of you are just one decision away from a big level up you never thought possible.  I want to break it down because I can feel you tuning out, friend.  So you might think this isn't for you for a number of reasons.  Let me guess...

The Objections

YOU DON'T HAVE THE TIME - Ok, I totally get that.  Being a mom is a full-time (exhausting) job, let along being a WORKING mom! Running at 75mph from when you wake up to praying the kids go to bed at a decent hour, I. get. it. 
WHAT IF... I want you to consider two things.  First of all, this doesn't have to take up much of your life.  If you choose to do this for fun, as an outlet from your regular duties, do that! I love that this provides me an avenue to get creative and also drink wine with other mamas LOL!  Second, this doesn't take as much time as you might think.  Add up all the little here and there's that I actually spend on my business.  It's probably not more than 10 hours per week.  But remember, I'm trying to build a business.  You could give this 3-5 hours a week, and still get a lot of benefit.  

YOU AREN'T A SALESPERSON - Perfect! We are not looking for salespeople.  Actually, none of the women I work with have a background in sales.  Some of them are counselors, teachers, marine mammal specialist, make up artists, missionaries.
