I needed to purge my house of a lot of clutter, so I thought about having a Garage Sale. In planning for it, I wanted to include my kids in the process and help them have their own money-making experience; so I thought they could run a Lemonade Stand to go along with our sale.
I'm excited to offer them little entrepreneurship opportunities so that they grow up with a healthy money mindset, and hopefully feel empowered with the process. In this post I'm sharing how we made our Lemonade Stand, how the boys were included, and what they were able to learn!
I hired Demery Mezin in 2020 to help re-design several spaces in my home. It was an amazing experience and Demery was kind enough to let me interview her. I'm sharing about who she is, and how we did an incredible interior design job completely virtually!
I spend a good amount of time in my home office; my office also serves as my workout space. As I worked with Designs by Demery during the last few months of 2020, I wanted to create a space that felt bright, airy, open, and organized. I’m sharing ways I repurposed furniture I already had; and added a few new items to make my space exactly what I wanted. If you’re looking for a little inspo for your own home office, I hope you get a few ideas here!
Time Blocking. I'm sure you've heard the term before. If you haven't, well, it is a way to organize your schedule allowing for tasks to be accomplished in designated time periods/blocks of time. It allows for maximum productivity, reduced wasted time, and helps keep you focused on the task at hand. Sounds good right?
Now I'd preface this topic with a reminder that one size doesn't fit all. You may want to have large batch time blocks, or you may want to micro-plan tasks by small time frames. Figure out what works best for you. The goal is to help you develop a system that encourages you to be productive and on task so that less wasted time turns into more time to do what you love!
